Individual Therapy
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and you do not have to do it alone. At Changing Lives Therapeutic Service, we offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about what you are experiencing and begin working toward meaningful change. We provide individual therapy for adolescents, adults, and older adults, meeting you with compassion, respect, and understanding at every stage of your journey.
Whether you are feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply in need of support, our goal is to help you feel heard and supported as you move forward. We offer in-person and telehealth services across North Carolina and Virginia, allowing you to access care in a way that fits your life. Our approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices, focusing on building coping skills, strengthening emotional balance, and supporting your overall well-being—one step at a time.
Peer Support Services
Peer Support Services at Changing Lives Therapeutic Service are designed to provide individuals with encouragement, guidance, and practical support from trained peer support specialists who have lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges. These services focus on building hope, promoting recovery, and supporting individuals as they work toward greater independence and stability in their daily lives.
Peer support is a non-clinical, recovery-oriented service that complements therapy by helping individuals develop coping skills, improve self-advocacy, and strengthen their ability to manage symptoms and access community resources. Peer support specialists use shared experience, active listening, and peer modeling to help individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered in their recovery journey.
At Changing Lives Therapeutic Service, Peer Support Services are individualized and person-centered, focusing on each individual’s goals, strengths, and needs. Services may include support with emotional regulation, daily living skills, community integration, wellness planning, and navigating systems of care. Peer support is provided in accordance with program guidelines and is intended to foster confidence, self-efficacy, and long-term recovery.
